# 4. 扩展阅读：VSFilterMod

## 概念说明

首先需要了解，ass 字幕格式并非 Aegisub 软件的专有格式，Aegi 只是一款 ass 字幕编辑器。

在 Aegi 和许多支持 ass 格式字幕的播放器中（如 potplayer vlc mpc-hc 等），ass 的字幕是由 `vsfilter.dll`这一组件完成渲染。

`vsfiltermod.dll` 是`vsfilter.dll` 的修改版（Modification），它提供了一些新的功能。例如边界变形，引用图片等。具体请参考[这份说明手册](https://cwlrin.wiki/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/vsfiltermod-%E6%89%8B%E5%86%8C.pdf)
